Aim: The aim of the study was to evaluate incidence asymptomatic COVID-19 disease in pregnant women withrectal and oropharyngeal/nasopharyngeal swab compare efficacy two samples.Material Method: This prospective cohort included 234 who had undergoneplanned cesarean section between May 7 September 24, 2020 obstetrics unit a tertiary care center, Ankara,Turkey. swab, rectal placental, amniotic fluid, cord blood samples wereobtained from all participants. were tested when any theoropharyngeal/nasopharyngeal or positive. real-time reverse transcriptase-polymerase chainreaction (RT-PCR) test performed detect SARS-CoV-2 virus samples.Results: 0.42% (1/234) population. One 234oropharyngeal/nasopharyngeal swabs positive, while none including one positive withoropharyngeal/nasopharyngeal for virus. RT-PCR results placental,amniotic COVID-positive case negative.Conclusion: undergone elective cesareandelivery low, Ankara, Turkey. In women, foundto be more useful detecting compared swab. No evidence found about intrauterinetransmission disease.
